EQTEC extended its collaboration with GRDF in France, supported by additional private funding for advanced methanation initiatives. The company received further private funds toward the Green Gas Provence project in Istres, building on earlier funding that covered pre-FEED engineering work.
An EQTEC-led consortium was awarded private funding from GRDF after a competitive R&D tender to deploy an integrated methanation system at the University of Lorraine demo site. Equipment from AlphaSynt will be installed with a test program to demonstrate upgrading syngas to renewable methane for potential grid injection. EQTEC will provide engineering and integration support and expects to receive a portion of this funding. A major utility expressed interest in the results.
