Helium One announced commencement of Electrical Submersible Pump testing at the ITW-1 well in the southern Rukwa project after completing wireline logging and mobilization. All downhole tools and surface control equipment have been checked and verified, and the ESP is being run in hole.
The ESP will be positioned to evaluate the fractured Basement and Karoo intervals by enabling flow from deeper zones. After setting at depth and testing the tubing hanger, a final function test will precede opening the well and activating the pump. The testing phase is expected to last several weeks, with further operational updates to follow.
