Rockhopper Exploration PLC s an oil and gas exploration and production company with key interests in the North Falkland Basin. Rockhopper said the sale of its wholly owned subsidiary Rockhopper Civita Ltd to Zodiac Energy remains conditional as the extended deadline has passed. Italian regulatory approval has not yet been received.
Approval from the Falkland Islands government has been granted; Italian consent is outstanding. The long-stop date has been reached, giving either party the option to withdraw, but the share purchase agreement remains in force and both parties continue to work to meet the Italian regulator’s requirements.
