QBT reported an update on the Sipiem litigation. The Venice Court of Appeal awarded damages and legal costs in 2024; CL2017 is seeking recovery of costs from an insurer. A -700,000 settlement covering part of liabilities was not approved for technical reasons; CL2017 is pursuing the remaining difference plus interest and inflation. Defendants appealed in January 2025, but CL2017 can continue recovery net of amounts received and confiscated.
Enforcement actions include property and asset seizures. CL2017 has confiscated two real properties valued by a surveyor above -600,000 and filed to confiscate a third; auctions are to be scheduled by a Biella judge. Further enforcement has begun against properties of defendants who paid the settlement. Chattel assets, including about 20 artworks, have been seized; valuation is pending and liquidation will follow Italian civil procedure.
