Nanoco announced plans to cancel its London listing and seek shareholder approval, citing anticipated cost reductions. This follows a strategic review after a prolonged sale process that concluded without a transaction. The review, led by CDX Advisors, involved advanced discussions with potential counterparties but produced no firm offer.
The company outlined cost-saving actions; Chief Executive Dmitry Shashkov departed in February. It said it is not experiencing financial difficulty and reported a cash balance as of May 19. Nanoco entered a joint development agreement with another Asian chemical customer, extended an existing agreement, and settled litigation with LG Electronics and Shoei. It expects to re-register as a private company following cancellation, with a shareholder meeting scheduled in June.
