Kodal Minerals reported its first shipment of lithium spodumene concentrate from the Bougouni Project, with 28,950 tonnes loaded at the Port of San Pedro, Côte d’Ivoire, for delivery to Hainan, China. Subsidiary LMLB will invoice Hainan Mining for 95% of the cargo value, with the first payment due, for an expected total of about US$24 million.
Recent operations moved over 30,000 tonnes of concentrate from site to the port. The Stage 1 DMS plant has produced over 45,000 tonnes at an average 5.39% Li2O. Under the offtake terms, the final sale price will be adjusted for grade, quality and freight; the company stated it expects a price above US$930 per dry metric tonne.
