Technical Author – html, RoboHelp, InDesign, London.

Market-leading and award-winning financial software company looking for experienced writer to enhance existing materials and document new products.

Ionic Information requires a proven technical author for its award-winning ShareScope stock market analysis software. In addition, you will have the necessary skills to co-ordinate the software testing and release processes. This is a key role within the Development team and requires an intelligent “can-do” approach. You will report to the Head of Application Development.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and revising the software help, manuals, release notes and other documentation.

This important role also offers considerable scope to develop and introduce new systems such as conditional text-based Help.

Essential:

High standard of written English with at least 6 months experience producing technical documentation

Desirable:

• Degree Educated
• Adobe PageMaker/InDesign (or other DTP or graphic design packages)
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript
• Understanding of Windows Help and PDF authoring
• An understanding of financial and stock-market terms
