Who supplies ShareScope data?
At ShareScope we take our data very seriously and we take all steps possible to ensure that the data we provide is of the highest quality. We do this by partnering with the leading data suppliers in the industry.

Updating stock prices and fundamental information
After the market closes at 4:30pm, all the share prices are checked and adjusted for share splits, consolidations, rights issues, etc to give you accurate information. You can then update the historic price information after 6pm (US data is available from 10:30pm).
The daily updates of results, forecasts, analysts' buy/hold/sell recommendations, directors' dealings and unit trusts are also extremely fast and can be updated after midday.
With a single key press (F9), you will receive all the data since your last update. You will never lose any data, as ShareScope automatically updates from the last date on your database for an unlimited time period.
The information is downloaded directly from our own server, so there is no tiresome waiting on the web, and calls are charged at the local rate from within the UK. All you need is an Internet connection or a properly installed modem. Click the Update button or type F9 in ShareScope and it does the rest. It is possible to update from anywhere in the world, using a reliable internet connection.
As a rough guide, the daily download on a broadband connection takes about 20 seconds.
Real time data
ShareScope Pro and ShareScope Plus let you connect to a streaming data feed.
For ShareScope Pro the feed is real time and you can tailor the exchanges and delivery levels to suit your connection and computer performance. Data is available from the LSE, FTSE, NASDAQ, NYSE, AMEX, FOREX, DAX, S&P and Dow Jones. You also get a streaming news from Dow Jones UK Markets Reports Service
For ShareScope Plus the feed is delayed by 15 minutes and the share price data is provided in 15 second snapshots. Delayed data is available from the LSE, FTSE, NASDAQ, CAC40, DAX, S&P and Dow Jones. You also get Dow Jones' live UK Investment News Service.
Data integrity
At ShareScope we take the integrity and accuracy of our data very seriously and we make all attempts possible to ensure that the data we provide is of the highest quality. Sometimes differences in calculation methods do exist (especially for indices and accounting ratios) and we are happy to explain to customers any instance where our data may be different to that of other sources.
